Sunway Medical Centre Velocity

Sunway Medical Centre Velocity (SMCV) is the healthcare anchor within Sunway Velocity, an integrated development in Cheras by Sunway Group. Well-connected to two MRT stations via link bridges, the precinct integrates residential, commercial, and hospitality components into a vibrant urban ecosystem.

SMCV offers 240 beds, 57 consultation clinics, and a full range of diagnostic and treatment services. It serves both the local community and the wider Cheras population, while also operating as a satellite facility to Sunway Medical Centre in Bandar Sunway.

A new 20-storey tower complements the existing hospital, incorporating inpatient and outpatient facilities, additional operating theatres, and upper levels reserved for future expansion into complementary healthcare services.

Architecturally, the design includes horizontal sun-shading louvres along the west-facing façade to enhance thermal comfort and reduce solar gain. A landscaped internal courtyard brings light and greenery into the heart of the hospital, improving air circulation and maximizing natural light in surrounding ward rooms.
