The project is a Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link between a station, at Bukit Chagar, in the vicinity of JB Central in Johor Bahru, Malaysia and a station, Woodlands North, in the vicinity of Woodlands, Singapore. It will be a shuttle link with double tracks of approximately 4km length serving the 2 stations. The proposed RTS Link shall have a co-located Immigration, Customs and Quarantine (ICQ) facility/building in both Johor Bahru, Malaysia and Woodlands, Singapore for commuters to clear immigration only once from each way of travel. An adjacent proposed Top Side Development will integrate with the ICQ Complex and RTS Station.

Rapid Transit System (RTS)

The proposed RTS Link three components – Immigration, Customs and Quarantine (ICQ); Top Side Development (TSD); and an elevated Rapid Transit System (RTS) station connected directly to each other. The three different programs function in unity. The massing design arrangement is further compliment by a viaduct alignment approaching across from the Tebrau Straits. The design is developed with the consideration on how the spatial relation between the three programs would work holistically to address the commuter centric use and flow patterns.
